4. It won't happen.
I don't think he'd take it. What's in it for Joe? Taking a two-year term as a garbageman?

In any event, if it happened, the CT Governor (Rell-R) would appoint his replacement.

8. Is Rell a Bushbot?
Would he dare install a Repuke with all that happened with the Dem primary? I doubt it.

9. I doubt she is a bushbot
Seeing as she just got reelected in CT with a ridiculously high number.

I wouldn't even count on her to install a Republican if this was to be their cynical game.

5. i doubt he would take the job with 2 years left for the Chimp
the Senate seat is secure for him for years. he would have taken it before when offered if he really wanted it.

in some ways i wouldn't mind if he did take it so we could have him gone after 2 years.

7. I can't see him taking it
Two years having direct responsibility of this mess working for an unpopular administration.

He's an ass hole, but he's not stupid. He will however extract concessions from Reid, but I think he'll stick with us.
