1. He "won" through fraud and polarization
and because Bush was President at the "right" time politically on 9/11. He built a campaign based on getting 50+1% majorites, but he could never create a real majority, because once the voters know more about his plans (like Social Security privatization) they realize that they are really Democrats.

20. The 'perception' of alignment is all there ever was..
The base has been in shambles since the 00' election. It's been held together by rubber bands and spit= Money and promises and more money. No one ever seriously believed Rove was omniesent...They've stolen the last 3 elections.

What IS pitiful and the shame of it all, the democrats never seriously picked up on it and did anything about it!

Rove's infallibility is more propaganda than reality. You have to understand the only way Repubs win is if they can CHEAT you out of what is rightfully yours. Put them on a level playing field, they can't win!

Don't think for a minute they aren't conniving and thinking of new ways to steal the 08` election. They are going to suffer their losses and work full time to STEAL..I can only hope the Dems aren't planning to let down thinking it's over...they can rest for a minute, then BACK to work. They've let things go to far as it is and have alot of ground to makeup before things are right again.

21. The Electorate Is 20% Liberal 35% Conservative And 45% Moderate
The conservatives have an easier time to get to 50% than we do but you still need to appeal to folks beyond your base.

26. As long as the war continues..
that segment of the base is up for grabs. These are the people that helped the Dems take control.
They have learned a big lesson. Repubs can't be trusted. They now know, repubs have a 'we' vs 'them'
mentality within their own base and 'they' are not part of the 'wes'

I mean, his candidate did lose his first national election (2000), and that was with fraud and voter suppression.

Political guru my ass.

12. Stan Greenberg And Jim Carville Said Rove's "Base Strategy" Would Be In Shambles After This Election
They were right...

His model of polarizing the electorate, ,mobilizing your base, and ignoring swing voters is not healthy for a democracy...

It's poetic justice that it (im)ploded...

19. No, he's not omniscient, but
he certainly encourages that image of himself.

This might sound off the wall, but I believe the reason Rover never denies any of the things that are attributed to him is that he's thinking about his own "legacy" just as much as W is thinking about his, and everything that is said about him just adds to the mythos that he's "all-knowing, all-seeing and all-powerful". Karl wants to be remembered as being "bigger" even than his late mentor, Lee Atwater.

23. Yes, this is part of his Grand Master Plan!
He has let the dems take over and will behind the scenes manipulate to make them look like failures! Setting them up for sexual scandals as we speak! Putting documents in their offices (think of it, they are taking over offices now occupied by repukes) to "prove" they took bribes!

:sarcasm:

My line has been that these guys have only ambition and connections. It is ALL they've ever had. No real talent for anything. Just well-connected wankers with more ambition than brains.
