Here is a nice little story about our Sec of State (MT)
He lives in Bozeman...(Gallatin County...only 2% reporting 6 hours later)
****
In 1967, Brad was a member of the Illinois Teenage Republicans. In 1968, he was a volunteer for Richard Nixon for President. In 1971, while attending community college in Glendale, Arizona, Brad was vice president of the College Republicans. In 1972, he was co-chairman of Young Voters for the President (Nixon) at the University of Illinois. In 1980, he was a volunteer in Texas for John Connally for President.

Brad moved to Bozeman in 1980 and immediately became involved in Gallatin County and statewide Republican politics. He served on the Montana Republican Party Executive Board from 1984-1989 and was reappointed to that board in 2003. From 1983 to 1984, Brad was District Representative for Congressman Ron Marlenee, during which time he managed the Billings field office and served as the Congressman’s liaison to various government agencies and the news media.

In 1990, Brad ran for Congress in Montana’s western district, winning nearly 40% of the vote against longtime incumbent Pat Williams. Shortly thereafter, he and his wife Lisa moved to Indiana when Brad accepted a position at Purdue University as an extension agent. Brad returned to Montana in 1998.

In 2000 and 2001, Brad worked as an award winning account manager for RightNow Technologies in Bozeman, an internationally recognized internet technology firm. He resigned from RightNow in 2001 to run in the Republican primary for U.S. Senate in 2002. Brad owned an auto parts store in Bozeman, which he sold when he ran for Secretary of State.****
