7. The GA 8th District (my district)
Edited on Wed Nov-08-06 05:39 AM by tenshi816
was very, very close last time I checked, 50%-50% with just a few hundred votes separating the two candidates and 95% of the precincts reporting. The 8th was gerrymandered last year and incumbent Jim Marshall (D) lost about a third of his Democratic-leaning constituency (although I was somehow gerrymandered into Marshall's district from a Republican one). I've got my fingers crossed that he wins, but that's a really, really red part of Georgia and I I wouldn't be that surprised if GA's 8th district flips Republican due to the gerrymandering.

Edited to add: I just checked CNN's updated results and now Marshall is now leading 51%-49% with 98% of precincts reporting, so with luck he'll pull it off.
