34. Actually, I knew that..
but it's the fact that he would drag her up on stage like that and allow such exposure, and such a photo to be taken....
I personally would not want my daughter in the spotlight like that. If they are so about image, they had to know how that would end up looking.
I just don't think it's right.

I just feel a little badly for his daughter. I would never put my child through that.

7. i feel bad for his daughter, but it's best for her that he lost
she would be even more sad when she gets older and realizes what her dad is like. it's best now for him to go away and in private so people forget about him and she can avoid the embarrassment it would cause when people find out he is her father.

I agree about leaving the kids out of it, but it's not like she is going to come on here at 530 am and read it. And why did "family values" Santorum have to drag the whole clan up there if they were that upset? Just sayin'.

headquarters and be with him when he gave his speech? Even if it was a concession speech and you were hurt.

pictures from a public concession speech.

We've had enough censorship from these "family values" candidates. Family values = they don't own that anymore...:)

Thanks for posting.

20. Leave the kids alone! They didn't choose their father and

they have a right tto be sad and, yes, to cry while their dad is conceding his loss. The Gore kids and Tipper teared up when Al gave his great concession speech and none of them were as young as Santorum's youngest daughter.

Also, Santorum wasn't a sore loser. His speech was gracious. Give him credit for that.

Not all children are good looking. This isn't political I just think this is a very unattractive family.

36. What I dislike about this
Santorum trotted his family out in front of the national press.

He's got his children doing his weeping for him.

Rick Santorum is one incredibly twisted and ugly man. Episodes like this make me realize just how creepy he really is.

Jeeze, they all look like they've been marched into the Royal Basement by the Bolsheviks' elite troops ... "Anastasia screamed in vain".

I have no rancor for the kids; none at all. I feel bad for them, not just because they're distressed that their father lost an election, but that he used them as lens bait.

38. Just like Al Gore trotted his family out?
Who also cried...

I mean, come on. The man gave a halfway decent concession speech.

He is insane, but I think he actually believes the crazy stuff he spouts and for that I can respect him. Too many politicians are willing to sacrifice their ideals for power. He could have gone for a less crazy approach, but didn't. His views are diametrically opposed to my own beliefs, but as I said, I can at least respect him for his conviction.

39. A life lesson learned
That little one is 8 years old, she looks older to me. I don't really want to make fun of an 8 year old, but I get the feeling while looking at that picture that the kids are more bummed out that daddy isn't "big man on campus" anymore and that's what is bumming them out.
