Republicans Were Shut Out -- Zero Gain!!! |
|
Edited on Wed Nov-08-06 06:09 AM by longship
The Republicans gained zero seats in either the House or the Senate. BTW, no governorship gains, either.
When was the last time that happened? Er, did it *ever* happen before? I don't think so.
2006 Midterms goes down in history!!

Are we Gay? Are we dancing in the streets? I want some firecrackers.
Also want to see George freakin no-body show up to face the House of Representatives. Let him pout. Let him cry. Let him freak out.
And the Gentlemen and the Lady, Ms. Nancy, will say, out of ORDER.
Sweet aroma.

10 years ago, I was in a sea of red. Democrats in this area were commuters passing through. Today, I wake up to an area where all the major elected offices are held by Democrats...from Governor to Senate & House to the major state offices and even my State Senator & Rep are Democrats.
The message last night was the Democratic Party regain the "mainstream"...and now it's the Repugnicans who have moved so far right they have alienated a majority of the voters. Will these people learn this or will they purge their ranks of even more moderates and make our ranks grow larger, stronger and more diverse. Stay tuned...
