I see Rahm's golden child lost. Edit: Tammy Duckworth, I hope it was worth slapping the grassroots & progressives in the face like he did.

11. I noticed Lamont lost |
|
I hope it was worth slapping the centrist Democrats, who've donated time and money for 20 years, in the face.
Why can't there be one day without this petty name calling.

31. I'm grassroots and progressive. And I worked my ass off for Tammy's campaign |
|
Please give me a fucking break. I will never for one moment believe that Christine could have done better than Tammy in this red fundy hell.
Lay the fuck off. Some of us picked ourselves up after Christine lost, and got behind the Dem who won. Tammy ran a great campaign and I dare you to say differently. This however is Dupage Fucking County and it's just a fucking miracle it's even purple at this point.
Just. lay. off.

33. Cegalis Wouldn't Have Done 40% |
|
I supported Diane during the primaries, but Duckworth put up a valiant fight against lots of money and slime. I'm firmly convinced the non-stop Rovo-calling did enough to supress and confuse enough votes to make the difference. Hastert spent $10 million to win two seasts and barely won one.
Duckworth is positioned for a rematch in '08. While I would prefer more Progressive candidates in this area, there would be no way Cegalis would have beaten RoScum. I've lived in this area for 25 years and am grateful to see the Democrats getting stronger and stronger here.
What would be even nicer if the state legislature takes a page from the Texas book and redraws the districts before 2008. Make it not only easier to witn the 6th, 8th, 10th and 11th but also make it possible for more Progressive candidates to run in those districts.
Rahm's a bastard, but he's the 900 pound gorilla now. Be assured he's gonna come back for another shot at Roscum and Hastert.

13. We're all going to die! |
|
:eyes: Yes, we're going to just lay down and let every terrorist into the country to slit the throats of Americans. And we're going to raise everyone's taxes, especially the middle class. We're going to teach Homosexuality 101 in every American school and make even the mention of God a felony.
Yep, the radical "Liberal" agenda is on the front burner now, America. You might as well get in the toilet paper line while you can, rampant communism is finally here. :sarcasm:
These people have been so brainwashed by the likes of Limbaugh, Hannity and O'Rielly that they have no idea what the issues really are and how to handle them. They're in full panic mode. Bush's campaigning didn't help that. He make it quite clear to the wing-nuts that a vote for Democrats meant a vote for terror, high taxes and hot man-on-man sex. The sad thing is that these people BELIEVE this alarmist crap! They stopped thinking for themselves long ago, so now they're a rudderless, captain-less ship in uncharted waters. Perhaps they'll start thinking for themselves again, that would be nice, but somehow I doubt it. They'll keep looking until another fundamentalist, strict disciplinarian RepubliCON comes along and does their thinking for them again. Then they'll feel safe. Safe from thought, safe from decision making, safe from having to do anything but donate money and push the (R) button every year.

18. They've had the house, the senate |
|
the pres. and the judiciary. They've driven this country in the ground allowing this pres. to get 2,000 plus troops killed an a lie. They've done absolutely nothing about the economy or the citizens of this country. Everything was about corporate interest and the hell with us. They've filled their pockets with enormous bounty while still believing Iraq had something to do with 9/11.Now they are angry because they can't continue to rob this country anymore. Totally amazing bunch of beings they are.

The terrorists had a FIELD DAY WITH THE REPUBS IN COMPLETE CONTROL! Right now, the terrorists are thinking "Uh Oh! Now what?" The last thing Al Qaida wanted was for Silverspoon to lose some of his death grip on power. They liked having an out of control, and unrestrained idiot in charge.
Goerge Bush was Al Qaida's best friend! The Professor

|
So, now the all powerful, unitary executive, Li'l Georgie Bush, will be unable to protect the country, which they said is the first job of the gov't. So, if the cities get lit up, it will prove that his entire strategy was a failure.
Happy now, you conservative buffoon? The Professor
