1. According to that little slide-thingy........ |
|
....on MSNBC it looks like we might win Montana and Virginia...but it's close, real close. It's a squeaker by the skin of the teeth, either way....................

2. Virginia, all the votes are counted. Not so in Montana. |
|
Webb's up over 6,000 votes and has declared victory. That lead should stand up to a recount (which is technically impossible with Diebold machines, anyhow). We won that one.
Montat is still counting. However, it's statistically likely we'll win. We're just waiting for the final numbers.

3. I am up only 2 minutes, but I don't think it is official |

Montana is recounting a big county - Yellowood (?) and someone in another thread said that they had gone home and might be back to complete the job by mid-morning. Virginia - I've haven't seen yet... Be sure to read this Dean statement :-) http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=103x244764:hi:

generally whoever has the most votes this late in the game is the one who ends up with it. Tester is very slightly up, and Webb is very slightly up. It certainly isn't 100% but I think it's better than 50% anyway.
Too early for celebration IMO but there's reason for real optimism.
