Such mixed emotions this morning
Lots of DUers have plenty to be thrilled about, and I extend a big ol congratulations to you all! :patriot: :applause:

But I'm stuck up in here Joe-land, ashamed and just a little bit angry. Angry because I went to the polls and voted for a democrat, and my democrat WON. I feel as if Joe literally STOLE my vote.

Oh well...I'm not angry any more. Just needed a one paragraph vent. Because Joe will have to realize that he is now untrustworthy, and his legacy as a whiny baby is set in stone. He "won" by running on toward the very positions which cost some of his colleagues their jobs. He'd better not bull a Bush on us and claim that his "win" is some sort of vindication of his war mongering. It's only an indication that REPUBLICANS loved him, and they had no choice but to vote for him. Sad way to ride in on the democratic wave, Joe. In fact...pathetic.

But everyone else? :yourock:

1. I know what you mean

I'm in Austin, Texas where we turned our entire State House and Senate delegation blue. But, and this is a big but, the Dems lost every state-wide race and thanks to re-districting my US rep is still a nutjob rethug. :(

2. Let me make you feel better...
Hastert is still my representative and I live in a blue state. :puke:

BUT, I am so happy for the House win... this is a great thing nationally and internationally... nothing will cloud my day. Not even Denny.

5. Joe will have to see that
the overall trend last night was a referendum on the war and corruption. He won't think he was saved by running toward bushite. I bet they put him in some kind of leadership position, though, just to keep the D behind his name.

6. I have the same feelings
The entire country had a blue wave....but our state government remained unchanged in Texas.
I talked to people...everyone was ready for a change, but it didn't happen,
One of our own DU'ers, David Van Os, was the change we sorely needed and after great personal sacrifice, didn't win.
There is a lot to be happy about this morning, but there is also sadness mixed in.

7. I'm in Florida
I'm really very happy because on a national level, we did so well. But we ended up with Crist for governor and that's not good. It will be just like having Jeb Bush as governor, though, so it's not like it will suddenly get worse.

We did turn a couple of congressional seats blue, but all in all, 1/2 of Floridians voted with some other part of their body than their brain.
