Each of these Democratic heavyweights slammed it right in their faces.

Kerry at Kennedy's HQ with his (and I'm paraphrasing from memory) "Americans have voted and they've let this country know that they've had enough with the tactics of smear and fear" or something to that effect. He really accentuated the smear and fear part.

Hillary quoting Cheney where he said a few days ago that our policy in Iraq wouldn't change even if power shifted in Congress to the Democrats and then she let him have it by saying very slowly, "Well not so fast, Mr Cheney" and she went on to let the asshole know that there would most definitely be change in their plans.

Pelosi was awesome, too, being diplomatic but tough and implying big changes are in store for this country.

Any other favorite reactions of yours from other Dems?

1. My favorite Dem is local~
And in Michael Arcuri's Victory Speech, in which he won the 24th District of New York, was all about what real "Family Values" were about.

Each issue he mentioned, "education", mimimum wage, social security(not being privatized), ect..he said those are "Real FAmily Values!"

8. I wanted to put my foot in Tweety's ass
when he said that about Sen. Clinton. She was following and acknowledging her supporters by clapping. Asshole.

4. Carol Shea Porter's acceptance speech
Edited on Wed Nov-08-06 08:52 AM by BigMcLargehuge
followed by Republican Gov candidate Jim Coburn's insane concession speech (he has almost 22% of the vote... LOL) where he said, and I quote -

"There are two paths in New Hampshire, the New Hampshire way and the right way. Now New Hampshire is on the wrong track and we'll be more like New Hampshire to the South."

audience of 40 people, reaction - one confused golf clap.

I laughed so fucking hard I nearly broke a blood vessel in my eye.

6. Deval Patrick's acceptance speech. It was an unifying speech and a speech about "Us the people".
Extremely inspiring.

I saw Clinton and she did well. I did not hear Kerry.

9. Nancy, John & Hillary. They all deserve a round of applause.
I didn't see all who won, speak, but I'm so happy "Big D's" are everywhere this morning.

11. Harold Ford was good last night...
"I love this country more than I love this process," Ford said. "As debasing as it can be, sometimes we forget that when Politics works, Americans live better and safer lives."

Yeah, he lost, but his speech was class and grace all the way.
