1. Sorry, Matcom, but we do.
With both of these wins, we have the Senate at 51-49, counting Lieberman. If Lieberman switches parties, it becomes 50-50, with Cheney being the tiebreaker.

I'm afraid that this makes Lieberman the most powerful man in Washington right now. :-(

10. LIEberman is not the most powerfull member of the senate.

What an absurdity. The senate is not going to be led by the nose by a backstabing piece of shit like LIEberman.

9. Who Do We Flip? Does Reid Have An Ace Up His Sleeve
The chill that went up the Northeast coast last night was surely felt in PA, New Hampshire and Maine. If I'm Susan Collins, I'm looking at my old pal Linc Chaffee clearing out his office and has to be wondering where she fits in. The Senator from Scotland is a wild card here...while he won't flip, he's unleashed now and can play "conscience" of the Senate again...giving some payback to McConnell in the process.

The dynamics here aren't as simple as party line votes. As long as Liebermann votes for Reid as Majority Leader and Harry gets 51 votes, the situation becomes a lot different that if scumbag McConnell takes control. I'm cynical enough to believe that Reid and Schummer cut a deal with Joe after the primary to stay out of the race in exchange for his votes on the leadership...from there on, Joe's on his own.

11. With Joe there just isn't any middle ground, either you love him or hate him
And i'm guessing he feels the same way about us.
My money will continue to be on him taking Rummy's job.
I honestly don't see any other place for some one like that to go.
The country hates Rummy and 30% love Red Joe, he's a shoe in.
But that means, if he takes Rummy's job that a republican will be his replacement!
