Remember when Jeffers jumped ship and Democrats took majority
Daschel decided to be magnaminous and split chairmanships with the Republicans or make equal chairs. He said Democrats wanted to really and truly work with the Republicans. Republicans assumed duel control but scoffed at the Democrats. As soon as they gained back control remember how they treated the Democrats. They didn't even want them at the hearings let alone any say....Now listen to them wine......

1. Are there any Rs in the senate who might defect again
given the obvious trend in the country? Any moderate R's left in the Senate might rather be on the side of the future, I'd think, if only for their own political future (See Chafee, L, 60% approval rating, and a loser because he wears an R after his name).
