In a fateful letter to Robert Morris dated 2 August 1781, George Washington noted that "Virginia seems to be the next object."
Played well, played right, the DNC can flip Virginia's 13 Electoral College votes in '08.
Cornwallis' blunder (bottling up his forces on the Tidewater Peninsula) seemed almost too good to be true, once GW arrived.
"You See, how critically important the present Moment is. If you get any thing New from any quarter, send it I pray you on the Spur of Speed, for I am all impatience and anxiety." (Letter to LaFayette, 2 September 1781)
The Tidewater Peninsula delivered big for Webb - for those who are unfamiliar, this is rock solid Navy families territory. The local returns for those areas should look like Allen fortresses:

We anticipate the reduction of Little Lord Georgewallis with his RNC minons, with much Satisfaction.
See? Washington felt the same emotions we do. I highly recommend:

P.S. The annual trip to the Tidewater Peninsula this fall (Williamsburg, Yorktown, and Jamestown) is going to be especially sweet!
