100% of the precincts are now reporting, and it seems that Democratic challenger Joe Courtney has eked out a 170 vote victory over incumbent Republic Rob Simmons.

This will be recounted, as it is a 8/100 of 1% difference. (This district is always close & had a 2 vote difference in the 90s)

Then incumbent Democrat Sam Gejdensen defeated Ed "Yes, that's my real name" Munster by 2 votes in this same district.

I think the recount ended with Gejdensen winning by 49.

Munster lost by a greater margin next time around, and then Gejdensen ended up losing to Rob Simmons in 2000.
