What happened with Tweety and Scarborough?
I hear jumped the shark several times throughout the night, but I only caught a few seconds when Scarborough was obviously responding to something Tweety said and had daggers coming out of his eyes.

What did Tweety do to piss off Scarborough?

1. Insinuated that Joe was partisan
Was too funny really.
Two partisan hacks trying to out-liberal each other.
It was must-see TV. Hoping Crooks and Liars or someone has it on today.

4. Tweety called out Joe for saying centrist Hillary was "Far Left"
Edited on Wed Nov-08-06 10:32 AM by emulatorloo
Joe said, well yeah, um I did say that but I really meant Barbara Boxer.

2. chrissy said Joe had not been objective in his reporting
Joe correctly pointed out that he had criticized the republikkan party more than the Dems.
That he (Joe) had said the republikkans did not deserve to be re-elected to the House or Senate because they had done a poor job of governing.

3. Saw a little on Imus..

I think that Tweety accused Joe of being a party hack, and Joe started a tirade about how he has consistently criticized the Republicans during the election season.

Chris Matthews was COMPLETELY out of control last night. Like Imus said, MSNBC was unwatchable. HORRIBLE.

They had Carville (yuck), Begala (he was okay), Bill Bennett (ewwwwwwww), and some black Republican.

I think Tweety forgot his medication or something. Unbelievable.

16. That was CNN's line up
MSNBC had Andrea Mitchell, Bob Shrum (kill me now), Howard Fineman, and others. Tweety was unwatchable, and Bill Bennett was an insult and just his regular hateful self.

math for holding a Dem majority, even after others had explained it to her. I thought it was the make-up job that gave her that vacant expression but apparently she really is a dim bulb.

He looked absolutely dumbfounded for at least a minute - looked at the rest of the commentators in disbelief. They all looked back at him like, "Uh yeah they won, Chris, where the fuck have you been all night?"

7. Well...
Scarborough said Hillary was part of the far left of the Dem. party. Tweety was interviewing Howard Dean at the time and Dean said something like whoever said that is obviously not non partisan, and Tweety agreed with Dean.

So, after a commercial break, Scarborough jumped all over Tweety and they had quite a little back and forth before it was all said and done.

Scarborough was 'offended' because he says hes tried really HARD to be fair to Democrats and was pissed off that Tweety would dare imply that hes a right winger. LOL.

So Tweety apologized, sort of, and Scarborough apologized for saying Hillary was a far lefty (says he really meant Barbara Boxer :eyes: )

Thats about the gist of it.

15. and actually, Scarborough is sort of right
He did an interview with Harold Ford yesterday and practically endorsed him. Heaped him with praise for being bipartisan, repeatedly called him his friend, talked about the good bills that Ford had initiated.

He *was* a ridiculous hack - up until Katrina. Then you could see his eyes open and he's been pretty critical of the Republican incompetence (although he surely still has his moments of GOP worship).

24. This all makes sense
in the larger scheme of things...Tweety has a hard on for Hillary, so he defends her honor as much as he can get away with, his criticism of her is kept to minimum and forgettable issues. At the same time he is completely unhinged at any mention of Al Gore. Gore so preoccupies Tweety's birdbrain 24/7, that he has a dozen zingers loaded up in his clip, ready to drop at a moments notice.

Why?, because Tweety knows the real truth.
Hillary's real threat is Al Gore, not Obama.
How does this play into the larger picture?
Well, Hillary is unelectable in the South for one...Which is exactly why Tweety has a hard on, and he'll protect her and water that precious seed until election day 2008, and he doesn't need that intern killer to get in the way and chap his gig.

13. In spite of the fact that Keith Olbermann was supposed to be on
MSNBC last night with Tweety, you hardly ever saw or heard Keith. Tweety was pissing off this viewer big time by interrupting his guests, not really paying any attention to what they were saying, being rude, being an ass about H. Clinton and Nancy Pelosi, being smarmy, thought he knew everything there was to know about everything, etc.
I've gotten so spoiled by watching Keith, thank God.
He was the epitome of unprofessional.

26. I read that the same way
Chrissie's comments of so called praise to KO struck me as REALLY snide and tongue in cheek.

Incidentally...was it me, or did KO's giving tweety two donuts to get him through the rest of the night kind of look like "stick these in your pie hole fat boy and shut the hell up" I thought that Tweety looked annoyed and I believe he said "I don't understand that"

Did anyone else see the donut thing? lol

KO was great--Mathews was terrible as usual.

I watched a little of it, but after hearing Tweety insult Gore for being 'fat, I just about lost it. After a 14-hour day at the polls in an 80% repub precinct, the last thing you want to be reminded of is how much a part the media whores' clowning plays in the state of things today.
