Tweety compared KO to Edward R. Murrow early this morning,
the inference was that KO was in the same league. To that KO's eyes looked modestly down.

I think it was around 2:57AM-- as KO was signing off.

8. It was nice. I'm surprised that professional jealousy wouldn't have won out. That makes Tweety say...
saying this even nicer. Makes Tweety look good.

10. Maybe he realized what a cock he'd been the rest of the night
and he knows his star will never shine as bright as Keith's. Olbermann is now the living Patron Saint of Journalism to me.

3. Was it genuine or was he looking for a return compliment?
I mean, we can always compare Tweety to Brit Hume or someone like that if he wants...

7. I took it as genuine
Tweety was blabbering in his high-speed manic manner, summarizing what he thought of Keith's commentaries and their importance (Tweety said he watches them). Tweety closed with the Edward R. Murrow remark. It was sincere, I believe.

4. He is.
Keith is a voice in the wilderness, unafraid to call it like it is. I admire him greatly.

5. I've heard that comparison mentioned many times
And I agree.

Why would anyone have watched a network other than MSNBC last night?

21. Indeed, that was the sole reason I picked that network.

With media in the revolting state it's in these days, a lone voice of sanity and rationality goes a LOOOOOOOONG way.

6. I heard it but he was backtracking for being such a jerk all night!
I emailed MSNBC this morning. Matthews is an ass and he needs to be tossed out with the rest of them.

12. My email to MSNBC Email them!!
I hung in there last night and watched MSNBC exclusively because of Keith Olbermann. Chris Matthews acted like a spoiled brat, interrupting people, calling vice President Gore the Hindenburg and generally acting like an ass. I wouldn’t watch CNN because I was insulted that they had Bill Bennett on but Mathews was just as bad.

I didn't bother to email CNN because they are the station of Glenn Beck and Nancy what's her name and they don't warrant my time. You wouldn't either if it weren't for Keith Olbermann.

Lose Matthews and keep Olbermann. Carry this wave in or get lost in the undertow.

I copied Keith for effect. ;)

16. Yeah,
I Think Tweety got hold of some really bad crank last night - even insulted Joe Scarborough & had to apologize on air (shows you how much of a sea change the night was - when I defend Joe Blow.)
Pat Buchanan was really off his feed as well - kept talking about the "1974 Watergate Reaction" and how it had hurt the Democrats for years afterwards - until someone pointed out to him that the Dems picked up seats that year & elected Jimmy Carter two years later, keeping a majority in Congress until 1994.
It was REALLY fun watching Ken Mehlman's face slowly collapse as the night went on & it became apparent just how big the blowout was becoming.
I think they waited too long to send Tucker (the tie looks REALLY stupid) to the Kid's Table so the adults could talk without him interrupting - he never did notice that everyone was ignoring him.

11. Tweety swimming with the tide
So K.O. is no longer a crackpot left-wing extremist? NO, Tweety never said that either but the MSM has treated Keith like this for a long time now. How many times did K.O.'s thoughful, objective Special Comments make the news - in comparison to, say, Coulter or Limbaugh??
It's a new day. Jump on the bandwagon if you wish, MSM; we're moving forward with or without you.

pain in the ass neck last night. Wouldn't let KO talk. Blabbered about how great all the losers (Republicans) were. It was awful.
