*sigh* I wish I could celebrate....
locally. Nationally I'm euphoric.

I went to bed last night with a shit-eating grin on my face and woke up spontaneously twice to check out what the Senate races were doing.

BUT gosh-darnit!

From City Council to County Commission to State Legislature to Governor to U.S. House to U.S. Senate to President I am still represented by a single Democrat. And that's DINO Bill Nelson. I sure hope he grows some liberal brass ones soon.

On the other hand, Dave Weldon (R-Pinhead) won by probably his narrowest margin in a decade. If this Democratic Congress can make a difference in the next two years (and they'd have to try damned hard not to), I smell the flames of defeat surrounding him in 2008.

CONGRATULATIONS DEMS!
