Stranded Behind Reactionary Lines: Tales from the Workplace
OK. I am hearing hilarious things from friends of mine who are stranded in jobs where the political climate is "red," to put it mildly.

Do you work in a red workplace? What is the funniest thing you've heard from a dittohead today?

1. What are you hearing?
Most of my co-workers are Dems, so I haven't heard any unpleasantness yet.

2. People Are Actually Crying at Their Desks...
... you'd think the Rapture happened, and they got ditched.

3. The funniest thing to me is
The scowls and the frowns - while I prance through the office happily, not saying a word - letting my smile do my talking.

My G.O.P., right-wing co-workers aren't saying a word. The silence is deafening. And I'm loving every single minute of it.

4. Here's what I got...
This co-worker of mine reminds me of one of those japanese soldiers found 20 years after the war ended - still believing he is at war with Clinton.

Looks like history repeated itself last night. No big deal. Even King Reagan lost the Senate in his 2nd term and he was our greatest President in the 20th century. Anyway, just curious, if in the first 100 day the following occurred:

Immediate pull out of Iraq
Impeachment of Bush
Raise taxes
Socialized health care
And of course criminalizing the greatest threat to us, Christianity

….would you be happy?

8. Well...
... you could always point out that with universal healthcare, he could finally get that couch time he needs with a therapist!

5. A work related message board that has always been Hail Bush
Hannity and Rush has been strangely quiet today. For 6 years, I've been the lone poster on there arguing and getting my patriotism questioned, my parentage questioned, you know the drill.

I think they're all waiting for me to post something obnoxiously gloating. Not about to give them that "you're no better than we are" satisfaction. Maybe they'll learn a little something about dignity and class after all their rabid responses.

But oh, there's such a part of me that wants to say "Hey, you stupid f**ks - this is what a MANDATE looks like - no Incumbent Dems lost, we picked up the House, the Senate, the Governorships, most of the state houses, right on down to the county commissioners and dog catchers. That's the mandate, and it's a total rejection of you and everything you've stood for"
