Little Lord Georgewallis

Plays well in Virginia, where Yorktown's history is ever-present. It also captures his sore loser attitude. Cornwallis refused to surrender personally to George Washington, and tried to have his second-in-command surrender the sword:

P.S. It also evokes the monumental upset victory embodied by Yorktown, and will help erode Virginians' support of an RNC-sponsored recount: "King George III didn't get a recount at Yorktown, neither should Lord George Felix."

1. There's a political cartoon in it, too;
Allen in 18th c. military coat, breeches, and tricorne holding a parchment that says "Election Results", saying "I demand a recount!" and the caption "His World Turned Upside Down"

3. Yeah, me too...
my favourite early political cartoonist (or artist, really, I suppose) is probably James Gillray (Gillray caricature of the Prince of Wales, later George IV, below):

4. The Regent and His Brothers...
... provided rich fodder, for a long time. Sailor Bill (William IV) and the Duke of Kent (Queen Victoria's father) were just a couple of the layabouts who got lampooned.
