Investigation and Threat of Impeachment May Accomplish Same Goal...

... Once they face up to what will come out in public in the form of a full-blown Congressional investigation that is covered 'wall to wall' by CSPAN and other networks, they may be approached by other Repubs who recommend that they resign (just like happened with Nixon).

Repubs know Bush/Cheney is gone in 2 yrs, and the damage to the RNC could extend their exile from power indefinitely if the public learns the full extent of their wrongdoing. It is more about the future of the RNC than about what happens to Bush/Cheney today.

Impeachment by the House will certainly put the heat on Senate Republicans who have to run for reelection if they voted not to remove Bush once the dirty laundry is fully aired.

Don't think Rove & Bush & Cheney have not 'wargamed' all these scenarios already.

3. Denny boy is being fitted for a subpoena even as we speak....

.... don't think Denny boy will be around much longer. THose suitcases full of cash campaign contribution, and other acts of corruption, will likely cut short the rest of his term.

The upcoming DEM congressional investigations will be kryptonite to Denny boy!
