NCLB up for renewal - Bush just mentioned. What can we do to kill it?

How do we get rid of this this "thing" that is killing our schools?

1. Massive letter-writing campaign to Congress

would be a start. Have teachers undertaken any studies regarding the effect of NCLB on children? I know from talking individually to teachers that NCLB hurts the actual education level in our country. It just makes common sense to me that learning needs to be enjoyable and motivating, and children need to receive the individual help they need to learn and ENJOY learning. NCLB kills enjoyment and motivation.

2. I don't know about the studies, but surely the dems who were supportive

of NCLB won't be now.
