Bush Blurts Out 'ANXIOUS' During Presser. He Lost Track Of His Point
Edited on Wed Nov-08-06 02:11 PM by cryingshame
and inserted the word 'Anxious' then managed to get back to babbling about NCLB and Entitlements.

This was towards the end of the Presser.

2. This is what he did.
A woman named Ann asked him a question and he started to answer it, but was stammering, talking too fast, and running all over his own words, so he stopped and muttered "anxious, I know!" and then started over.

It was WEIRD.

13. He also asked a reporter "do you think I'm nuts?"
I thought he was about to go into a Robert De Niro or Joe Pesci style monologue.

You talking to me?
You think I'm funny?

It was very weird. Like he was responding to voices in his head. Terrifying when you think of it.

25. ok..
In today's presser - bush was asked why last week he said Rummy and cheney would be around for the remainder of the bush's term

bush replied that he didn't want to interject it into the campaign....and then he admits he freaking lied to the reporters

maybe I'm over analyzing it, but I've spent the last 2 hours or so trying to figure it out

-- did he lie on purpose to get the reportrs to move on to another question

or

-- did he lie in the presser when he said that because as of last week he really had no intention of dumping rummy

meanwhile couple other things to note:

1. He dissed the people of sugarland (Delay's district) with his remark at having to play State Secretary and tell people to bring a pencil into the voting booth with them for the write-in candidate. Implied they were stoooopid - they should be demanding an apology

2. Implied that the people of the United States are also stoooopid because we didn't understand that STAY THE COURSE didn't mean STAY THE COURSE. We should be demanding an apology

3. Regarding the timing of Rummy's resignation - although bush denies it - it did have EVERYTHING to do with the election results. Anyone who thinks if the Repubs retained power that Rummy would have resigned - raise your hands

4. and as far as appointing Gates as Sec of Def - another croney being recycled

28. I heard that !?! while
driving, listening to it on NPR. The person with me in the car and I both did a double take...like whoa, did you hear that? We agreed that he clearly said "mmm anxious" like the White Rabbit muttering to himself (or to his wireless receiver).
