1. I still have a Republican Governor, too. But he is less powerful
today than he was last week...

27. We need to send all the wingnuts who moved to Cobb County

from Republican states back to where they came from.

Remember we had a Democratic governor and two Dems in the Senate in 2006, when black box voting took over and Gov. Barnes and Sen. Cleland were defeated, though the exit polls showed them winning.

I live in a rural area and you'd be surprised at the criticial comments I've heard native Georgians make about Bush and his war on Iraq.

We need to ignore the hard-core Republicans and let everyone else know what the Democratic Party wants to do for them.

Referring to the state as "this fucking place" isn't going to enhance communication with native Georgians.

29. Cherokee County, where I live, is much worse.
It's 100% Republican. Not one Democrat running for county offices.

But don't forget, California's Nancy Pelosi: Speaker of the House! :D And, truly, there could be a lot worse Republicans than Arnie (don't get me wrong, I wanted him out badly). Chin up, California!

P.S., I noticed we also have the same hobby: Writing fantasy novels. :)

but he's about as RINO as they come now. I'm sure his wife is constantly reminding him now that he's a Rethug gov of a very blue state.

12. I have a Republican congressman, and a Democratic governor
I didn't vote for. I fear it's only a matter of time before Blagojevich is indicted on corruption charges, and still can't figure why he won the primary, let alone the general.

And my congressman is still Jerry Weller (R-Guatemala).

14. I have the same, plus TWO Republican senators, and

one of them is Saxby Shameless! Hope that helps you feel a little better!

I'm too HAPPY about the national elections to sweat these state guys. The guv can't run again in 2008 and both senators and my rep will have to fight for their seats in 2008. I predict Dr. Dean will have a prescription to relieve the pain felt by Dems like us about state offices in 2006.

19. Here in Texas-- me too!
2 Republican Senators, same Republican Governor and Congressman.

BUT-- I have a great new Democratic Texas State Representative named Ellen Cohen. Yesterday, Ellen took the seat away from a smarmy, beady-eyed, negative ad slinging, right-wing Republican. I went to the Cohen campaign victory party last night, and it was the best party EVER!

baby steps...but we're going in the right direction.

I never thought John Yarmuth would be my representative. Never in a million years. I never thought Harold Ford would come as close to the Senate as he did. It's possible. Oh, it's possible.
