Did I miss something? Tweety just said Bush scapegoated Rove...
Edited on Wed Nov-08-06 04:07 PM by DeepModem Mom
for losing the election?

ON EDIT: Tweety just expanded, saying Bush said he worked harder than Rove did? He characterized it as a slap. Anybody know what he's talking about?

ON EDIT: Thanks everybody! So Shrub said this at the press conference, in Rove's presence. I've never used this smilie before, but...

2. In his hilarious press conference today...
Bush made a snide joke about how he spent more time working to win this election than Karl did. Ouch.

7. I was wondering who Bush was referring to.
I had just stepped back into the room when he said that.

Thanks.

11. Bush scapegoats everybody.
From Rummy to Rove to the generals on the ground, the man never takes responsibility for anything.

Funny; I thought he campaigned on restoring personal responsibility. It seems he meant that responsibility is personally assigned to whomever he feels like blaming.

What can you expect from someone who has gotten where he is in life because of his last name? He's not even responsible for his successes, let alone his failures.

16. When the POTUS calls you lazy and a loser in front of the whole press corps?
Yeah, I'd characterize that as a SLAP, alright. Rove's done by Christmas.

17. from the transcript...
Q Thank you, sir. During this campaign season some religious conservatives expressed support and appreciation for the work you've done. But some also expressed that they felt like they expended a lot of effort on your behalf without a lot of results. I wonder if you could tell us what parts of their agenda are still on your radar screen, and if you think they're right to be frustrated? And also, Mr. President, may I ask you if you have any metrics you'd be willing to share about your reading contest with Mr. Rove.

THE PRESIDENT: I'm losing. I obviously was working harder in the campaign than he was. (Laughter.)

AUDIENCE: Oooooh!

18. Nothing. Is. Ever. Bush's. Fault. Ever.
I'll bet Rove is grinding his teeth wanting to smack that frat boy asshole he picked up out of a Texas gutter and made king and tell him to eat shit.
