Where are all of the Republicans telling Allen to concede?
Edited on Wed Nov-08-06 04:06 PM by Marnieworld
He has lost by more than 7000 votes. Remember when they raged over Gore contesting Florida when the difference was 500 votes? I want to hear all of the "How dare he?" "For the sake of the country..." Obstructionist! Get over it! You lost? Let it go? I am off to Google for quotes from 2000. Join me in the pursuit. Allen should concede now. No recounts. No waiting all of these weeks. his ego is keeping the balance of power in limbo for no purpose. The country needs to heal. The country needs to move on and work together. The country needs exactly what was needed when they were begging for Gore to give up.

Who's with me? I want official results dammit. He will never win so he should stop trying.

:grr:

On edit:
Here's a quote from 2000
http://www.consortiumnews.com/2000/111300a.html

“Do the Right Thing, Mr. Gore,” read the headline of an article by former Sen. Bob Dole on The Washington Post’s opinion page on Nov. 11.

“It was a close election, but it’s over,” wrote Dole about the Nov. 7 presidential vote. “I urge Al Gore to put his country’s agenda ahead of his agenda; to put the people’s interests before his personal interests.”

4. Well, in fairness...
...where are all the Democrats telling him he needs to concede!

C'mon guys, everyone agrees the gap is too big to make up with a recount. Time to start pressuring the guy, based on it costing money, drawing out the results, sore loser, etc. etc.

Sure the Republicans are hypocrites, especially based on past history. But the fact is we have every reason to demand that he concede NOW. Then while we're at it we can throw some of his past words in his face. No sense waiting for the Republics to do it, they won't.

5. especially considering that Webb has won with more votes than Tester
It's absurd. One is a projected winner but the person that has a greater margin of victory is in a race that's "Too close to call" ? It defies logic. How is less than 2000 votes a good enough victory but the 7000 vote is up for a recount.

As far as where are the Dems? My guess is that they are taking a victory lap over the House and the Governorships. The numbers are very obvious. If he doesn't concede they'll start a rumbling soon I'm sure. It's called class.

I mentioned the Repubs saying something because they were all so vocal when the shoe was on the other foot. Now with Macaca trailing by 7000 votes? Crickets.

I want a final tally now dammit. My champagne is chilling.

7. Yes, they were vocal...
...and yes, we should use their own words against them.

And yes, it's past time the a** just concede. But he won't -- the rest of the Republic party and the BFEE won't let him, they know what's at stake here and they're scared sh*tless.

Still you are right, we all know how this is going to turn out, and he should not be wasting all of our time with this crap. Just concede dang it! Us Democrats have been waiting far too long to uncork that last bottle of champagne!

6. You are not guaranteed a perfect, error free election.
I remember some smug repug guy saying that, hiding the fact that the repug counties in Florida had super duper second chance to get your vote right machines.
