Howard Dean has been completely vindicated! |
|
I'm so proud to have been among those lobbying for him to get the position of DNC Chair. I really do not feel we would be celebrating like this today if he had not been at the helm. Of course, our DSCC and DCCC coordinators get mega congratulations also!
I hope Dr. Dean continues to serve as DNC Chair at least through 2008. Who knows what incredible feats he will accomplish by the end of that campaign! :kick:

I don't think he's going to get too much more institutional support out of this. The beltway democratic establishment is going to be claiming credit too. But I think this definitely polishes HD's grassroots creds.

9. Dean did the hard work WITHOUT establishment support. If the establishment |
|
Dems were interested in the state by state, county by county infrastructures of EVERY state, they would have had both Gore and Kerry win by landslides with a completely secured election process.
But they didn't. They worked and schmoozed from DC. DEAN DID THE HARD WORK IN EVERY STATE.

8. That would be awesome, although I favor 3 others also. |
|
But I really think we need him as Chair. I'd almost be afraid to go into 2008 without Dean in that position.

And while we're at it:
Hats off to Rahm Emanuel for giving us all those Fighting Dems.
Kudos to the lifelong Republicans who at long last put country over party.
Eternal gratitude to the on air talent at Air America & all progressive radio, to liberal bloggers and everybody at DU for keeping us informed and united, and for opening so many minds.
Big hug to the Generals and other former and serving military who showed the courage to speak truth to power.
Huge thanks to KO for so keenly articulating our rage and indignation with such eloquence and passion, and for putting it in historical context.
And enormous credit to every single Democrat who stepped up to the plate to represent us, who took the chance to run for high office, who put themselves before the cannonfire, endured the personal attacks and smears and accusations, who took the heat and kept on going tirelessly nonetheless. God bless 'em, every one.
We could not have done it without every last one.
