Make no mistake: They TRIED to steal it
They tried and they failed, simple as that. They're still trying to steal it right now. They probably stole Tennessee. (No WAY am I believing that Ford was that far down....) They stole CT via Lieberman. It was just too overwhelming for them, but they did give it a shot.

Now is possibly the LAST opportunity to turn the country around from almost dictatorship back to Democracy. If the Democrats do NOT act on making mandatory PAPER BALLOTS NATION WIDE, they may steal 2008 and then, my friends, everybody's fucked.

Then, Democrats must DESTROY the torture bill, the patriot act, signing statements, wiretapping, and every fucking thing else. Bring back the 3 branches of government while the legislative branch still has some power. If * refuses to cooperate, impeach him. If he does cooperate, impeach him later.

1. Let's Hope the GOP Learns to Regret, Loathe and Despise Lieberman
just as we Democrats have, and for the same reasons.

4. absolutely correct . . . it's not that they didn't try, it's that . . .
sheer numbers overwhelmed them, and whatever fraud they DID accomplish wasn't enough to be determinative . . .

they vastly underestimated public disgust with BushCo and with Republicans, and thought a lot of seats they ended up losing were safe . . .

New York's 19th CD (my district), for example, where John Hall (bless him!) defeated six-term incumbent Sue Kelly in a heavily Republican district . . . we haven't had a Democratic Member of Congress representing us since 1972! . . .

but we do now . . . :headbang:

5. There are exit poll disparities in VA and MT in the pug's favor
Webb outpolled Allen by 5% and it's down to the wire here.

Similiar situation in MT.

6. This is the time
for the Dems to show that they mean business. Otherwise, they will lose the support they have gained.

Oh, and lets forget about Hillary for president in 2008! Regardless of what you think of her or her abilities, her candidacy will open a rift in the country that these last elections have started to move toward a bit of healing.

The Democrats need to get creative and find a presidential candidate for 2008 who can appeal to a large base of voters of both parties. Unfortunately, I don't see any JFK's out there in the wings.
