2. Saudi was dumping oil to help Bush out. We've all said it was rigged
to go back up right after the election.

4. I think that we were going to be punished no matter who won
The big oil companies were doing their todies in the Congress and the White House a favor, keeping prices low and cutting into their profits. They were going to do this only so long, and I think that no matter who won, prices would have gone up after the election.

Guess what - prices were going to go up regardless.
We've discussed this many times over the past few weeks - maybe just a ploy to make voters think twice about voting Democrat.

Look for the stock market to fall as well. Once it gets over the glow of election day, we'll watch it drop - and listen to the Democrats take the blame for it.

6. Well, we could tax their windfall profits and mail refund checks to people
Or we could use the money to fund alternative fuel research, maybe open solar power farms and wind farms.

And maybe set up tax credits worth several hundred for any and all who purchase hybrid vehicles.

9. The American people figured this stunt out
It didn't work. The drop in oil prices pre-election made barely a dent in the disapproval ratings.
