Start investigating the key players in Congress. Leverage them against one another, and against the administration. Start finding the skeletons. Use those skeletons to leverage other advantages. We know the dirt is there. We just need to drag it out into the light.

Get Dems in the media talking about what's wrong and why it needs to be fixed.

Introduce minimum wage legislation.

Introduce comprehensive health care reform legislation.

Introduce legislation to fix the tax cuts and subsidies for the richest corporations and fat cats.

Protect and shore up the Constitution. Strip away provisions in the Patriot Act and other legislation that threaten our Constitutional Rights.

Repair the election system. Eliminate electronic voting, or insist on open source software and solid protections against hacking, as well as paper receipts or other means of verification. Seek public election financing.

Tell Iraq--either get your shit together, or we're leaving. Prepare to leave.

Restore Veterans benefits.

Restore educational opportunties.

Publically re-examine the Drug War and its costs.

Reform the media. Either restore the Fairness Doctrine or find another way to restore journalistic integrity.

End corporate personhood.

Begin REAL separation of Church and State. Get government out of "marriage" and institute "civil unions" across the board. Leave "marriage" to religion and let government deal with the contracts between adults that current "marriage" covers. (More than one way to skin a cat).
