http://www.johnhallforcongress.com/

John Hall is Still the One, and brings history and real music to Congress. If you remember the music of the Seventies, he co-founded the band Orleans.I guess the music he'll be playing will be for us even more so than ever.

Dance with Me and celebrate.

2. Now I can say that a Congressman played at my college's Spring Fling
in, I believe, '83. We (Day Student Gov't, of which I was a member) picked 'em over Eddie Money among others.

3. He came across as a very knowledgeable man on TDS.
They did an interview with him. We're in good hands.

I just got off the phone with a friend, and was telling him about this. And I live on the west coast. It's good to see great people getting in office.

4. John ended his speech last night by singing -- a cappella -- . . .
a song written especially for his campaign by Little Steven van Zandt (Silvio Dante, for you Sopranos fans) . . .

John's challenge -- like other new Members of Congress -- will be finding his footing and maintaining his independence and values and the face of competing pressures from PACs and lobbyists (offering tons of cash), constituents, interest groups, the party, the opposing party, and potential 2008 opponents . . . sad to say, but his re-election campaign starts TODAY . . .

sure is nice to have a Democrat representing me in Congress . . .

6. I wish I could have just gone out last night to share in the joy
I have a wicked sinus infection and pneumonia. I wanted so bad to cry with someone over our victory. Now I (at least) have a musical memory of the night.

Cheers Mr. Hall. I enjoyed you at No Nukes, I've made love to your music and got pumped with your music.

Now I hope our Congress can get energized by you.

7. This is Grreat ..I love that song
"And You're Still The One". I know how you feel about having a Dem represent you in Congress!

The 24th District of New York now has a Dem after almost 50 years..thank you very much. And I loved Michael Arcuri's Victory Speech when he talked about "Real Family Values".

8. Here's a link to the interview he did with Colbert
if anyone wants to see it. This was my first intro to him, and I've been hoping he would win ever since I watched it. http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=385x4144

14. I think Keith Olbermann described the same thing last night,
that Orleans used to play Ithaca when he was at Cornell.

I remember them giving a concert in a park in Syracuse in 1980 and I was standing right there in front of him while they played. I thought at the time, wow, I'm this close to a rock star!

Good for him!

20. Big love for John Hall!
I am so proud of my neighbors in NY19 for putting John over the top!

Though it bears watching that his opponent, Republican incumbent Sue Kelly has not yet conceded the race. The spread is about 3,500 votes.

Wake up, little Suzie. It's time to go home.
