Allen needs to "man up" and concede.
In 2000 and in 2004, this is all I remember hearing about Gore and Kerry. "Gore should do the gentlemanly thing and just resign". "Kerry needs to be a man and resign. It is best for America."

Now, the 'pubs are using the exact same logic that we used in 00 and 04. "He needs to make sure the votes count. He needs to stay and fight." Well, it didn't fly then, and shouldn't fly now.

Well, if Allen wants be a puss, the Dems need to push the claims of disenfranchisement due to the robocalls and calls telling voters they would be arrested, or that their polling location moved in Virginia. If Allen wants to say every vote should be counted, he should be challenged on why his party didn't think everyone needed to get to the polls, and called voters claiming they were dems all times of day to piss them off.

If this is pushed on the television shows, it will reveal Allen to be the ass he is.

He needs to man up, and we cannot let go and let him steal this senate seat through buffoonery.

2. Lou Dobbs just said the same thing
I'm keeping the Webb sign up in my yard until the victory is complete.

From Americablog:

CNN's LOU DOBBS: it's going to be a very difficult recount, and it could be tantamount to another 'Florida 2000' in Virginia this time. Personally, Wolf, I would urge Senator Allen, and I would say this if the roles were reversed between he and James Webb, I think the gracious and caring thing for this country would be to accede to the will of the people and forego the recount, as difficult as that may be for him. This is the time in our country's history, Wolf, I truly believe it, it's a time for graciousness, it's a time for class, and forebearance of self-interest.

WOLF: The Republicans would argue that it's not just Senator Allen's seat that's at stake, it's the Republican majority in the United States Senate.

DOBBS: I think there's something else at stake. I'm etymating (?) here Wolf, it's the for the good of the country. And it would be nice to see George Allen set a solid foundation for the future, for his future, for the Republican party's future, for the good of the country, and to forego that recount.

7. I think what Wolf says goes right to the heart
It's not about the country, it's about a Republican majority. They don't give a damn about what's good for the country, about the interests of fairness, about the will of the people. It's all about what's good for THEM.

Selfish bastards.
