WHAT CAN WE DO to ensure the recount in VA is monitored and accurate?
With the control of the Senate on the line, is there anything we (who are not from VA) can do to protect the accuracy of the recount? We all know from the 04 debacle in Ohio that rethugs desperate for power will find loopholes (legal or not).

With all eyes on VA, what can we DEMS do to help keep it legal?

1. I heard on NPR
That the convassing board is bi-partisian, comprised of an equal numbers of Dems and Republicans.

Not overseen by the SOS, like Ohio and Florida.

2. WA Governor's race 2004
They established an excellent protocol for recount. A thread at the time from an observer described it in detail.

Not sure what VA law requires or will allow, though. And WA had paper ballots to hand count, not sure if all VA precincts do.
