Tweety! You don't look well AT ALL! |
|
I only peeked at MSNBC's election coverage last night (and I wouldn't have done that much if Keith hadn't been on with him). I thought Tweety looked looked a little shellshocked. To make sure I hadn't imagined it, I checked out the opening of tonight's Hardball--yes, he does seem to have aged ten years in two nights!
Nonetheless, Tweety bravely shilled on. He said that two thirds of the voters made the unpopularity of Iraq their primary issue, insinuating that we're bunch of overemotional dolts. But it just wasn't the same--his passion and sincerity are gone. He knows his days are numbered. But I guess that's what happens when you realize that you're suddenly confronted with being an nonentity.

1. He was horrible to Olbermann, IMO. |
|
Just did NOT want to share his stage with anyone. And made the most sexist comments about Pelosi. I had to turn him off.

4. He kept insisting that the Dems dodged questions on their plan for Iraq |
|
Boy, would I like a crack at him. First of all, it's NOT OUR MESS. Second, anything we propose is better than what's going on now. Third, many, many Democrats have answered the question.
Olbermann handled him well.
He might have looked bad because I believe he was up for about 20 straight hours in a row. He was still on when I fell asleep at midnight Pacific time.

6. I stayed up all night with him |
|
and when Imus came on to pollute the airwaves Tweety was doing radio shows, the Today show and only then disappeared for a few hours. He's been in the saddle almost continously since yesterday so I think, like you, that the reason he looks more bloated and cake-faced is the long hours.
That said, he's still a world class dink who went after Dean like a bully and then bragged about it all night and day afterwards!

5. You are right, he did not look well at all last night... |
|
...and as others have mentioned, he kept saying how sad it was that "good" Republican candidates were losing just because of that nasty old Blue Tsunami.
I kept waiting for one of the other guests to ask him if, during the 2000, 2002 and 2004 elections, he was shedding any tears over good Democratic candidates losing "just because" of the Republican wave.
But of course no one ever did.

7. When he commented last night that he had recently seen |
|
Al Gore and he look like the Hindenburg I was not sure my tv was going to survive.
First he interviewed Delay and kept nibbling on his a-hole, then he interviewed Dean and treated him like he had the plague, then he got into a bitch fight with Joe, and then interviewed Cat-killer Frist while nibbling on his neck.
He was off his meds last night and made the evening about himself. KO was such an adult. Tweety was a disappointed baby boy who didn't get his way. MSNBC needs to do some more thinking about programming.

8. If anyone doubts your description of his behavior |
|
last night, let me confirm it. Yes, he really WAS that bad. It was shocking. He also had his little hissy fit about how his own friends lost, people he really knew and had on his show, the good people, or whatever assorted gibberish. It's too painful to try to remember, actually.

I find it so hard to believe that Tweety worked for him.
