Poll question: I See This Election as a Progressive/Liberal Mandate |
|
Edited on Wed Nov-08-06 08:09 PM by stepnw1f
A shift to the Left rather than the center. I ask you all this because I now believe this will be the Right Wing's major talking point: "Moderate Dems Won" to demean our many victories. What say you?

It was a Democratic Mandate. meaning Liberal, Moderate and Conservative. I believe it was the big tent that let us win last night.

2. No, this was an antiwar and anti corruption mandate. |
|
Many of our Democrats that won were social conservatives. All the antigay ballots passed. While the country is starting to see the error of the war, this is still a socially conservative country.

3. Reaction to Bush failures and to corruption. |

I suppose you can say it is a mandate for a more liberal agenda considering that anything anything to the left of the Ku Klux Klan is liberal in this country.
