I find it curious when Rove was interviewed a week ago he said we would lose |
|
He said OUR POLL numbers were not correct, but his numbers were.
At the same time bush was going all over the country saying the Democrats were over-confident, "already picking out the drapes to their offices", and that we would be in for a surprise. By the way, I NEVER heard ANY report of Democrats being over-confident, in fact it was just the opposite
Then as the election was going down I heard accounts of Brent Hume, and others on Fox making excusing on how the results would turn around in their favor, Chris Matthews was extremely agitated, and rude, especially to Howard Dean, and very polite to the RNC
Is it possible they thought the fix was in, but their plans got foiled?
On the R/W forums before the election they were talking how it was assured that they would retain control
I know this is just tin hat talk, and it is probably more likely delusional on their part, but I really believe they were shocked that we pulled this off
Burns won't concede, and the same thing with Allen
I do believe one thing though, the DNC and others were definitely mobilized

4. Not lose, but not win either, and it was an in your face arogance |
|
Of course that is par for these thugs, and it was probably to try and intimidate us, but if that was the plan they sure blew it

2. It was all bluster. . . |
|
they hoped hyper-confidence would dispel Democratic enthusiasm and carry them to victory. In the end, all they had was subterfuge and lies. Same as they always had, only this time the smart set knew it (or acted in spite of it).

5. You are probably right, but I also believe we were more prepared |
|
than ever this time for voting irregularities etc.

8. How is this for a theory? |
|
Oh, the fix was in alright and would have gone on as planned except for one thing: Poppy finally had enough. People were starting to put two and two together and the tide was turning.
Poppy is used to rescuing his oldest boy from the trouble he gets into. Poppy is very familiar with the stench of failure that comes from his eldest spawn and the smells were starting to get pretty damn ripe. So, he said "Enough" He said no to Rove and kicked him to the curb and he told Junior to replace Rummy with his guy Gates. He told Cheney to shut up and back off or he would get the same. He has given Junior more than a "fair' chance to prove himself but, predictably, all Junior did was make another big mess. And, Poppy and his own Cabal don't really need Junior anyway.
So, Poppy is stepping in like he has done so many times before. I am sure the glazed look in Junior's eyes is the very same look he used to get when caught screwing up as a teenager. Poppy slapped his hand and is now taking over. He doesn't care if Congress is Repug or Dem.. it won't matter to Poppy and his Circle of Elders at all. As long as Poppy's plans coninue to move right along without the embarrassment of Junior's bungling.
Will the real King please stand up?
