NO on Pelosi for Speaker! |
|
Edited on Wed Nov-08-06 09:06 PM by meuniermr
She wants too much moderation IMO, which will co-opt the current revolution and work in partnership with Bush to advance the North American Union and Globalist causes. She will not allow impeachment hearings or other fact-finding and she has stated this. There are also better people qualified such as John Conyers. We can't let the media make Pelosi the figurehead and credit the victory to her when it was really Dean's. CNN: "Pelosi can't take too much credit for her party's triumph." Look at how the Republican revolution in 1994 was compromised in this way by the Globalist Gingrich. We do not need a return to bipartisan civility until we have undone the GOP's unconstitutional bills such as the Patriot Act. On Edit; I think I need to slap myself and get a grip, Ive been taking Alex Jones literally too much. Me<- :tinfoilhat: :spank: I still have the same viewpoint, I apologize for not using a less reactionary way to say it.

I like Pelosi. I think, rather than come out with both guns blazing, she's being very subtle. I imagine there will be hearings, but her first priority has to be showing the country that the Democrats will do a better job for them. None of us want this to be just a two year majority and it would be nice to pick up a few more senate seats in 2008. It won't be too late to do some investigating then.

Minimum wage first. Bush will have to veto. Then Nancy goes to the people. She has, with her first 100 hours, she will have Bush hogtied.

|
And look where that got Gingrich.
It's not compromise to not pursue impeachment - it's smart politics. We HAVE to win in 2008 by promoting an agenda, NOT by getting embroiled in the inevitable circus of recriminations and distractions. We have to win beyond 2008. The nation cannot endure another 12 year drought of Democratic leadership in Congress.

|
will ultimately be judged on whether they get the business of the nation -- healthcare, energy conservation, global warming, retirement, wages, etc -- taken care of.
Having said that, I'd love to see Cheney investigated because he seems to be the one with the most secrets, and the lost likely to be hung with financial corruption. But I want the business of the nation covered first.

The election's only what, 20 hours old. We've known for months that if we took the House, Congresswoman Pelosi would most likely become the Speaker of the House. How about giving this discussion some room for civility all around?
Thanks.
