WITH Webb Taking VA, Does this mean we can relax on JUDICIAL APPOINTMENTS?
Bush is going to have to select moderate-to-liberal judicial candidates to get them through committee.

It's such sweet irony that the evangelica's own hypocrisy (Haggard) has cost them the conservative dominance of the Supreme Court.

2. Hopefully Shrub doesn't get another Supreme Court appointment
We can breate a sigh of relief with control over the Judiciary Committee but I'd MUCH rather have a Democratic President making the appointments to the judiciary committee.

5. Yes, but will all the so-called Dems *on the committee* stay in line?.
Seems like it's nearly frickin' impossible to get a party line vote out of the Dems... :-( :-( :-(

6. No, we'll have more say, but we can't relax
not with some of the moderates in the senate still like Lieberman, Nelson of NE and Landreau who might back Bush's choices.

7. We can stop the nominations in committee.
Those we don't like will never get to the floor for a vote.
