You really HAVE to read some of these, they're just too precious for words.

One of my faves:

To: West Coast Conservative
So the Dems get this with $2.08 cents a gallon gas, 4.4% unemployment, a great roaring economy, a war where no battle was yet lost and a sky high stock market.

Now, let's see what they do to that. Bookmark this post please...

 OK jackass, consider it bookmarked.

OK, I'll post another....

To: West Coast Conservative
Well, there goes the Supreme Court. Based on today's oral argument, it looks like Kennedy has totally gone over to the dark side (he appears ready to strike down the Partial Birth Abortion ban), so we've now got five total libs on the Court and four moderate conservatives. When Stevens croaks we're not going to be able to replace him with anyone good, so be prepared for years of liberal activism on the bench.

Apparently they don't read the other freepers posts at all........

To: wouldntbprudent
Ah. Forget the recount. Let's just get going with what we got.
Right there is the difference between adults (conservatives) and the babies (Democrats), ads the dems would be screaming vote fraud. Good job, Diebold finally made their machines work correctly.

10. Here's the BEST. EVER. re: Electronic voting
Edited on Wed Nov-08-06 09:03 PM by WritingIsMyReligion

Since Virginia is one of those states that uses electronic voting machines with no paper trail, there isn't any way to do a real recount. All they can do is to add up the numbers again.

That's not going to help. The answer is to require some sort of verifiable paper trail. Here in MN, we use optical readers. The ballot I filled out will be available for a recount, if necessary.

This electronic voting with no audit trail is wrong.

President Bush should have announced Rummy was gone sooner.

Pride comes before a fall. This is the fall of those who were arrogant and thought they had it all.

They have nobody to blame but themselves."

28. It was $2.08 in my town yesterday. Today it's $2.25.
There is no way the Freepers could blame Democrats who aren't even sworn in yet for that, but they probably will.

20. Good one on Rush confession: He's a liar. They're getting smarter. Slowly.
"Rush admitted he was tired of carrying the water for the GOP.
I guess he thought he has lost his credibility buy carrying the water.

Many of us here have said he carried the water, and he admits it.
Nothing wrong with it other than not being truthful to his listeners."

27. Reading a few of the threads yesterday (I love trainwrecks)......
there's going to be a major laying of the blame as to "who lost the election for us"? The neo-cons vs. the religious fundies vs. the libertarians vs. the moderates vs. the "true conservatives" (whatever that is) vs. the Bushbots. All will be accused as the reason the Republicans lost. Expect lots of ugliness and Rimjob banning people left and right. I'm sure they are a microcosm for the entire Republican Party. I expect the Fundies to follow a Pat Robertson type to their political promised land (a desert). Libertarians and Constitutionalists might splinter off, too.

This is really the worst possible outcome for these people. They won't be getting anymore of their activist judges elected to the Supreme Court and they have clearly lost Ohio in the 2008 election....so they can kiss the Presidency goodbye, as well. They'll be all kinds of investigations between now and the 2008 election...George W. Bush will be helping us to make Congress bullet-proof Democratic and the we'll take the Executive branch. I really think the Republicans have reached the end of the road with regards to their political evolution. A rather spectacular rise and fall, IMHO.
