Honest to God, I don't understand what he's getting at.

Is he admitting he feels betrayed by the RWers he's been shilling for all this time?

Sorry to be dense, but idoan geddit.

8. He's distancing himself from the losers. They weren't worthy of him, in his opinion.
:eyes: He'll concentrate on others now - until they lose, anyway. Flush is an opportunist and any failure is the other guy's fault.

36. around 11 years ago or so
I had to drive with my dad to Florida - round trip from MA to FL

24 hours in a car with my dad who thinks Rush is Right... so guess what we listened to on the radio???? arrrrggghhhh

ok - so after about the 5 hour of this - I say to to my dad "You know rush should be on his knees thanking the Clintons instead of bashing them"

dad: Huh? whaaa??

me: because without the Clintons to bash - he has nothing to say

----

it was true 11 years ago, still true today. His shows are all the same - it's either the Clintons fault the Democrats fault or the the Liberals fault PERIOD (ummm no comma here)

Every repub who lost is unworthy of his efforts, in Flush's tiny mind. He'll go even farther to the right to find his new candidates.

28. The extreme right wing can't believe America rejects them
So Tuesday's results must be due to something else. It's ChimpCo that failed them and made mistakes. That's how I interpret Limbaugh's latest ravings.

19. He's probably trying to pull the oldest whiney republican trick in the book...
Whenever republican policies fail, or politicians lose elections, it's because they aren't 'True Republicans™'.

This way any failure on their part isn't really a failiure of their ideals or philosophy, merely a failure of the people that they put their trust in to live up to the 'True Republican Philisophy™'.

23. My first thought was
Edited on Wed Nov-08-06 09:59 PM by bluedogyellowdog
he thinks the Repug Party isn't extremist enough. He was tired of carrying water for Chafee, DeWine, Leach, Johnson and so on. He wants only extreme righties in the party. Or else spinning things to make it seem like this was really a victory for him - spinning it like Allen and Santorum and their ilk weren't real conservatives. He's trying to justify his continued viability on the radio - which is in question.

He's also probably just zonked out of his mind on oxycontin..

27. he's better when he's railing against Democrats than supporting Republicans
his stock and trade is hate and bile, and when he can direct that at Dems in power, he's happy. When he has to spend all day defending the GOP, he's not.

He was probably as happy as us that the GOP lost, it gives him something to scream at for the next two years.

30. Rush needs to look in the mirror
and realize he played a part in this "thumpin". It's true he carried the water for the republicans but he messed up when he threw water in Micheal J. Fox's face. Rush was probably the deciding factor in that election.

39. Exactly. I'm sure he's feeling heat for the whole MJ Fox thing
I'm sure Rove et al are putting some of the blame on him and he's pointing fingers back in their faces. I think there's a lot of infighting going on that we're not seeing (about who's to blame).

and carrying their pisspots, then I'd say he's still doing the job. That's what he signed on for...that and all those beautiful hillbilly heroin pills and freedom from indictment. They own his ass. He's stuck being the Johnny-one-note that he is.

40. Rush is admitting that this is a lame duck presidency and he's not
going to "stay the course". When the Repukes took control, Rush took total credit for it. Now he realizes that the winds have changed and he's going to have to find new boogey men to revile and new conservatives to support.

They're eating their own.
