Who cares what Pelosi thinks about impeachment....
It's not up to her, it's up to the members of the House Judiciary Committee, led by now Chairman John Conyers.

Call it a hunch but Conyers and those who rally behind him on these issues have done too much investigating, put out too many reports, put up with their hearings being held in the basement too many times, to just give it all up now.

And if I'm wrong and they don't do it, this guy promises to start it off

1. I care.
Impeachment will make the Democratic gains yesterday be very short lived.

5. Oh fucking horseshit.
Do you even understand what impeachment is? If you believe in our Constitution, impeachment is an imperative. We don't have to proceed without first gathering evidence and support, but stop lying about the effects of impeachment already. Clinton was impeached, and it barely phased him or his popularity.

7. Yes, but the Republicans lost seats for putting the country through
it.

Only second time in history that the president's party increased in power in the House of Representatives during midterm since the Civil War. You should study up a bit before accusing someone of lying about something you seem to have little knowledge about.

9. Thanks for the same old logic.
We can't annoy the conservatives. Oh my! They will look down on us!

Many, many families of dead people, who wouldn't be dead except for this administration, are looking for justice. That's what the liberals need to remember.

13. I would have no problem with a World Court holding a war crimes
tribunal... I am just saying that if we waste this opportunity to really make an impact in these two years and bog id down in impeachment, then we can count on being punished for it in '08.

Besides, who wants Cheney for president?

14. This time there will be no bogging down.
Complete control of Congress is exactly that. With the Bushies in control they passed a lot of destructive legislation with no bogging down. Get with the program.

8. I would rather put our energy towards undoing all the harm
Increase the minimum wage, change that abomidable prescription drug benefit, get some oversight into those contracts in Iraq, bring forth affordable health care, bring our jobs back, bring some relief to the middle class, etc....

We can expend time, energy and money in getting vengeance or doing something to make a positive difference in people's lives.

12. Hey Digit. You are such a good person, looking to take the
high road, and I so admire that, but this old witch here wants justice. If they aren't made to answer for their crimes, they and others will come back and commit more crimes. They need to answer for their crimes in a proper court of justice and right now that is our Congress.

15. I wouldn't mind Cheney in particular being investigated.
Frankly, I think he would make the easiest target with his secret meetings, lack of cooperation, links to defense industry, etc.

As much as I want it, I'd rather the Congress take care of specific business that would make people's lives and futures better, like global warming, conservation, healthcare, wages, etc. If they can do both, then yeah, maybe, but I really want this Dem Congress to be able to recite how much they got done during the next campaign.

17. It's justs a "good cop, bad cop" routine
Nancy plays the "good cop" while John Conyers does the bad ass cop...you have to go about your enemy from all sides. When John hands Nancy the report, she'll have no choice other than to follow the rule of law.

A slap here, a slap there...a little fake foot step and then....

WHAM!
