My Suggestion for the New Democratic Congress

Immediately (or immediately after raising the federal minimum wage) draft legislation creating the severest possible penalties for the crime of vote suppression. The shit we saw in Virginia and elsewhere is at best an assault on our Democracy, at worst treason. I'm talking at least $50million or 50 years hard time. Make it so that no son-of-a-bitch would dare dream of trying it again.

And the best part? Republicans would either have to support it or have the whole world shown what evil bastards they really are.
