So it seems that Poppy Bush may have laid down the law..
I was watching CNN, and someone menitoned that Gates is not the only one from the 41's administration that is now an active part of 43's. Something like 4 others. Anyone know anything about this?
Seems Poppy, and by extension probably PNAC, may have stepped in a bit.

1. Poppy is not PNAC
Poppy is old school, permanent power structure, plutocrat. The PNACers are the antithesis of what Poppy is.

2. If Poppy is going to have any kind of
legacy for Jeb, he has to do something about the unholy mess 43 is making in the playpen. Note the m.i.a.'s include Cheney and Condi. Meanwhile the PNAC bunch are rushing in for the salvage operation. It is doubtful that Poppy took kindly to the Army Times editorial, the total mess that KKKarl made by not controlling the evangelicals and the nastiness that is H*burton. We will have a much-chastened Chimp for the balance of his term--but that doesn't mean a fully-controlled Chimp.

3. Yeah, agree with prior post. Poppy's not PNAC...
he believes in stealing the golden eggs, but not killing the goose that lays them. PNACer's think they can create their own goddamn goose...

4. I dunno why I thought I had read that somewhere.
But since both of you said not, I must have misread; sorry.

5. I agree. When Rumsfeld's resignation/firing was announced this
morning, I said to myself Poppy is cleaning up the poop once again for Shrub.

6. Baby Caligula brought in old Cold Warriors from the get-go
Some of them had become PNAC in the intervening years, but good golly (to quote one of them who's just been canned) those were familiar names and faces from as far back as the Nixon years.

As for this new guy -- he's another blast from the past. Gates was involved with Iran-Contra. Yikes.

I think you're experiencing deja vu.

Hekate
