Does anybody else here feel like they are in shock?
Edited on Wed Nov-08-06 11:37 PM by BigBearJohn
Don't get me wrong. I'm elated.

But in shock. Big time. Waiting to wake up

from the dream and have Bush say., "HA HA
Fooled ya!"

9. They wanted to, but there were too many voters and the margins were too huge
You can only cheat on the margins, because the exit polls have been tweaked to precision. They tried to pull that voter supression shit, but the electorate is way too savvy because of all the stunts, as well as the thefts in 00 and 04.

They TRIED to cheat, but they couldn't get away with it. In VA, Webb's guys slapped a cease and desist on them for the robophoning....and the FBI is investigating a couple of calls that were recorded. Someone's gonna get in BIIIIIIIIIIIG trouble! That clown who pulled the phone jamming in NH that cost Jean Shaheen what should have been her rightful Senate seat is still in jail....

4. Yes, especially since
I was out of touch all day and finally stopped at a hotel for the night. Fired up my laptop and found out not only did we take the House, we got the Senate and Rummie resigned!

Did I die and go to heaven?

10. Me,too
Can't help but wonder if part of their shock is "they thought they did have it stolen" & things went terribly wrong. Remember how smug Rovey was? Heck all of 'em! They thought it was in the bag &
"suprise!" Dems take all!
I'm luvin' it!

and yeah...shocked. It felt like New Years Day today. That kind of surreal, hung-over get through it kind of day, waiting for real life to start back up.

13. I've been in shock for six god damned years
Edited on Thu Nov-09-06 12:19 AM by Beam Me Up
I knew when they put that ass wipe in the WH this country was in serious trouble but I did not imagine it getting as bad as it has AND GOING ON AND ON AND ON for as long as it has. I'm still in shock now but at least it looks like there MAY be some light at the end of the tunnel.

This experience has shown us some very important things:
• The corporate owned media in this country IS NOT THE FRIEND OF DEMOCRACY. Something really needs to be done about this, although I have no idea what.
• We absolutely need the internet to be able to distribute information HORIZONTALLY (rather than vertically, via a hierarchy)
• We also now see very clearly just how VULNERABLE our country is from threats from within and how we MUST do something to guarantee the reliability and credibility of our votes.

16. Sure do. But if you think about it, it makes sense. The Republicans
have been had by the Bush Mafia. The mafia doesn't need public office, they need access. They have it. Public office is sort of a pain because of all the press and the public in your face every day.

The Bush cronies have made a bundle and have expanded their network. Mission accomoplished. The Republicsns are now left to fend for their betrayed selves. Until next time.
