Surprise, surprise.

FL Dem's will be contesting Katherine Harris's seat in the House - few votes between the Rep. winner and Dem. Jennings, and lots of questions.


Anyone know anything about this?

• Florida’s 13th District: Republican nominee Vern Buchanan led Democrat Christine Jennings by 50.08 percent to 49.92 percent in the race to succeed two-term Republican Rep. Katherine Harris, who ran an unsuccessful campaign for the Senate. A recount will be held early next week.

The difference between Buchanan — a wealthy car dealer who poured millions of dollars of his own money into his campaign — and Jennings, a banker, was one of the closest races in the recent history of the 13th District, which normally leans Republican. Just 373 of nearly 238,000 votes cast separated the two.
