Me, North Dallas, LOL.

People seem only aware of the TX races. Had one person at work, ignorant, talking about how they heard both House and Senate were hanging on a single election. I had fun educating that person.

The diehard right wing blowhards around here are, I'm sure, acutely aware of what has transpired, and their silence today is the sweetest possible music to my ears.

1. Hell, I work with someone who doesn't even know who Tony Blair is
And she's in her 40s. She also didn't understand my protest sign from this summer, "Patriots Act, Undo the Coup." Seriously, she didn't understand what it meant or what my reason was for making it.

:hi:

Dh went into a Starbucks this morning gloating, and a college kid (UTD) who works there said that "Bush won anyway". Dh laughed his ass off as did the other staff members.

I work in a university, a bastion of liberalism even in these here parts. We were all gleeful. :D

3. I didn't know there were any bastions of liberalism in Collin Co., outside my house.
:hi:

I tried to go to a moveon phone GOTV party but it got all screwed up (long story). I really wanted to meet more Democrats here in the red, red burbs.

The only other times I have, aside from the odd rare one I encounter at work, were at Clark meetups in 04 and at one of the supportive rallies for Cindy Sheehan.

4. I don't even live in the country anymore
but I can guarantee people here (Toronto) are completely aware of the transfer of power, and very glad of it.
