So...... are we still Underground?
I'm serious! (kinda) I feel like we're in one of those movies where we have all come out of our hiding spots after whatever dark period is over, and we are hugging and laughing and meeting each other all over again. GD looks like the lounge, the lounge looks like GD... its really cool is all im saying...

well, that and

Do they (every one of em) even understand how energized we are going to be NOW?!!???!!!

bloggers... with a mandate.

2. Of course we are, just don't think of us as running a network.
Think of DU as a subway (underground in the UK) where our ideas, actions, and objectives meet, mingle together and take the express to the Democratic majority in both houses.

Also we still have a lot of work to do before '08 and progressive causes still abound, so hang on, my fellow straphangers, the ride has just begun.

3. I'm not sure
we should want to be above ground. One of the reasons I joined D-U is that nobody has to talk like Hillary Clinton or John Edwards. I say keep thier types above ground while we advise and analyze from below. You'd be surprised how many people visit this website to check out and be educate on "underground" ideas that they can use in the mainstream. I think we're in a cool place and shouldn't leave it.

5. Maybe DU will be a misnomer, on January 20, 2009.
MAYBE. When the guy who won in the first place rightfully takes the oath of office.

8. The fight has just begun.
We're up against the Chimp, backed by big business, old money and a newly born police state.
Let's not abandon the tunnels just yet.

10. DU will be underground as long as Election Fraud 2000
remains and underground issue.
On top of that, the presidency is still Republican.

11. We'll remain Underground b/c Congressional Dems will continue to dissapoint us
I'm not being pessimistic here. It's necessary for them to be more moderate than we are, that's the only way they'll get anything done and prevent a Republican return to power in two years. Our job is to keep talking up the base and rationalize pinching our noses in a few elections where the failure to do so truly threatens to let the bastards back into the House.
