9. The world is war-tired, tired of not knowing if the day tomorrow will be like today

That's the main feeling abroad, I guess. You can sense a kind of relief among those that has cared and stayed informed, that the US politics now will be based on facts, data - not fiction or faith.

11. I always feel like I must apologize to the world.

And is sucks to be in that position.
Although most people in this country are not cow boys of sociopaths, or power hungry. All of those together are still the minority and if everyone voted they could not get more than 35% of the vote.
I have posted an idea to correct that before and got a few angry responses (not at DU) from them that use freedom as there argument. but if I could I would pass a ANTI-POLL tax in which a tax would be leveed on all qualified voters that did not vote in the national election.
It is a freedom we all should be willing to give up for a true democracy.
