More Icing On The Cake: Bye-bye John Bolton.
This is tasty. There's no way Bolton will win confirmation now. And Joe Biden said words to that effect yesterday. It's been shameful having that troglodyte representing the US at the UN. He's toast. bush won't dare to try to extend his interim appointment.

2. Another humiliation lifted from us!
This man was a slap in the face to rational Americans who did believe in diplomacy and dared hope for a brighter tomorrow based on the Nations of the World coming together & working for peace. I will be smiling a little broader today (if that is possible).

3. I'd kinda like to see Bush try, however. Just so Reid can put 'em in the dirt.
I have tasted Republican blood. I hunger for more.

9. Uncle Jim is likely to shit can ALL the Neocons as the BEFEE steps in.
If it wasn't for him I would expect that Bolton would get assigned Deputy UN Ambassador (which doesn't require Senate approval) and the Ambassador position would just be left vacant.

Do we think Condi is actually going to survive the house cleaning? It will be interesting. I think Colin Powell was considered a member in good standing of the BEFEE.

16. Yepper! You got it ...
Don't know if that's a good thing, or a bad thing, though.

Who's worse, the Nixon-Watergate arm of the GOP (Cheney/Rummy) or the Iran-Contra arm of the GOP (Poppy/Baker/Gates, etc) ?

:scared:

17. Bolton wasn't going to be confirmed with a pug senate
He's a recess appointment and Bush had every intention of appointing him as a recess appointment again.

If Bush wants bipartisanship, he'll can Bolton and appoint a UN ambassador who actually likes the UN.

Otherwise, it's just bipartisanshit.

21. Rule By Executive Order
Yes, it'll be good to see Capt. Kangeroo on Crack sent packing, but I suspect another PNACer will be recess appointed over xmas before the Democrats take control.

One of the blogs reported that this regime may just bypass the Legislative through secret executive orders...booosh hasn't hestitated in using them with a rubber stamp Congress, ya think he's gonna think twice now? If anything, he needs to...to keep bodies buried for the next two years.
