Bush will be a better President the next two years.
He's broken and really has no choice but to work with the Dems. He's going to piss his base off something fierce and at this point, I don't think he gives a shit.

10. I think you nailed it.
Better behaved child.

You could see it in how pathetic he was in the press conference yesterday - nice to see him under the gun without the usual assistance he gets. His bumbling around is so very apparent when not in a friendly room.

21. I agree. He'll be even more of a little prick, than usual. Remember, he doesn't think he owes
anyone any explanation and feels no one has the right to ask him any questions. He won't change.

that was a classic! - it seems the Dick knew more about the election outcome then most.

8. It would be nice, but I doubt it.
Although I guess it all really depends on what is more important to him: his legacy (which already is abysmal), or gaining back the Repuke majority. Moderation may help save what is left of his legacy, but will only help the Dems. Staying a prick and throwing red meat to the knuckle draggers may motivate the base for 2008.

My guess would be that he stays on the same path.

11. He'll be "better" for a while, I think.
From now until late winter/early spring of '07, he be on his "best" behavior, but after that?????

Of course something could happen between now and then to set him off, but in the end he'll come back to to his roots;

A petulant Child trying to do an Adult's job.

14. I would love to believe he could get better
The only thing better is the daycare providers are now in charge and he has to mind his p's and q's.
As far as him doing anything constructive, I won't bet on it. More dirty crime family shenanigans to come until they get locked up or die a natural withering death.

16. The Rummy Move Was Insult To Injury
Gotta love how spin has gone 180 on this one. Yesterday, when lame dubya was forced to fire Rummy, the corporate media danced to the "the preznit is showing strength" meme and how he had somehow recaptured his mojo and made everyone forget his party lost control of BOTH houses less than 24 hours earlier. Now it's turning into "why did booooosh lie...he knew he was gonna can Rummy and kept that info secret until after the election". Many who had to defend Rummy in those last nasty days of the campaign now look like fools.

Even moreso, boooosh didn't act from strength, he was forced by weakness and then did it badly. Be assured, if the GOOP had held either house on Tuesday, Rummy would be holding press conferences asking himself questions and running the Pentagon like the S.S. Bounty. It wasn't until boooosh got the news that the Senate was lost, too (not the House, but both House & Senate), that he was forced to offer something up to steal some thunder. He thought putting Rummy's head on a platter would be good enough. It hasn't, it won't and the ones most offended were the same people he was trying to rally. Stupid shit!

Thanks to this asshat's mismanagement and pig-headedness, we're not going anywhere in Iraq anytime soon. I would joke with Repugnicans I met during the recent campaign who used the "cut and run" bullshit...I'd reply "why would we want to lose such a winning issue...and thanks to your preznit, it WILL be an issue in '08". And it will. And the longer this ugly war continues to slide into bedlam and this regime continues to fight reality, the disconnect will get worse.

Last Tuesday changed the name of the Iraq war to booosh's war...and that now includes anyone who dares to support him. If you thought Clinton was "toxic" for Gore in '00, that's nothing compared to how the booooosh legacy will wear on the GOOP candidate in '08.

17. I have a secret fear that our Dems will roll over and do whatever
he wants (please tell me I am out of my gourd!). I just keep thinking how everyone went along with the war, the stupid 'patriot act', etc. What if they're just rubber stampers and they don't act a BIT like Dems!

Aiyeeeee! (Paranoia)

19. That was my thought too
Dems have had chance after chance to go after B*, to censure him, to impeach him for war crimes, to stop the Patriot Act, stop the torture bill, etc. - and have rolled over every time.

B* is acting like the little boy in the corner who seems like he's sorry, but he's just plotting his next evil deed. Hopefully Dems will not be fooled this time!!

22. I agree
In the press conference, Bush almost looked relieved. He's been in a bubble of total denial for years. This was his reality check - he could either face reality or go into full-out Nixonian delusions. He chose reality.

If he just gets out of the way it will be a good thing, however.

26. He'll just alternate from acting like a
petulant, spoiled brat and trying to appease Democrats in Congress. He'll mostly act like a brat, though. He'll get all frustrated with the press, even more than now. He'll get more and more defensive, and I predict he'll start aging even faster than he already has been.

This is going to be a VERY long two years for the asshole, and I for one am glad of it.

I bet his behavior will get even more erratic (whatever has been wrong with him for the past few years will most likely be aggravated).
