We need to go ahead and drive a stake into the heart of the PNAC!
OVERSIGHT is what the country voted for more of Tuesday. If it leads to IMPEACHMENT then so be it!

It is time for the democratic leadership to fight for our country and they begged for their jobs with the assurances that they would! It's up to you and me to keep up the pressure! You can't win a fight, if you don't have the heart to win, going into the fight! It's shit or get off the god damned pot time, NOW!

I'm tired of being lied to, even by people in my own party and I want the congressional oversight, that I was promised.

I do think that they know that they WILL be held accountable THIS time.

3. If we play our cards right, Poppy and moderate Repukes will help
GW has run back to his dad for help. The Baker Commish is the beginning of that, and so is the appointment of Paleo-Con and ex-Reagan and George I official.

There is a purge underway of the neo-cons. Perle and other neo-cons have seen the changes coming and have started insulting the prezident while defending their vision.

Make no mistake about it. The Repuke party is in civil war, and the moderate and real conservative wing of the party are attempting to purge the neo-cons. We were a great help yesterday, throwing out the VAST majority of those we had a chance to.

Poppy will step to the fore. We may even see somehthing like Baker or a protege @ State. Bolton is TOAST at the UN.

9. PNAC and the neocons have retreated in panic. They're finished,
as far as driving policy, at least, is concerned. Congress will vigorously investigate the neocons, because their role has to be exposed and more broadly understood.

As to whether there are actual prosecutions, beyond the Libby and AIPAC cases, is a very good question. That may be determined by whether the hold-overs cooperate in a general change of direction. I believe that a renewed emphasis on diplomacy and a deescalation of tensions with Iran are part of that new direction.

Don't expect that all issues with Iran, and between Israel and its neighbors, are going to be immediately resolved. It's going to take some time to define the areas of mutual interest, and how the U.S. can effect constructive influence in the region.

The election isn't a solutio to these problems, but it's a start in the right direction.

You are so right! The election Tuesday was simply the first battle, in a war to protect and defend our Constitution and our rule of law.

America does not need, or want, a king, a dictator, or a unitary executive. We did pretty good(not perfect)for over 200 years with our ELECTED Presidents!

27. Yes Bush's period of Touchy Feely Bi-Partisanship lasted about a
minute and it's right back to the day before the election type strong armed bullshit!

Bush is not going to change and that is REALITY! We have wondered in the political wilderness as long as we can afford to, so let's get on to the promised land! Bush is bleeding America dry and he dares congress to stop him. Congress has begged us for their fine good paying jobs and NOW...it's time for them to produce.

10. A freeper the other day thought I was ignorant
for shooting hole in the PNAC agenda. I guess the righties see them somehow as a defense powerhouse. It only took me a skimming of their obnoxious thinking to see that it was offensive and empire building.
It would be great to be rid of the whole Nixon/poppy/ PNAC neocon crime family. Enough drug dealing and killing off of poor defenseless people.

Where is my pitchfork?

12. Draining The Swamp, Controlling The Agenda
Yes, people voted for accountablity and responsibility the other day more than any other issue. They want the brakes put to this runaway regime and for the long process of accountability to begin.

First things first. There's so much muck in the brothel that was once known as the House of Representatives, it's almost overwhelming. War Profiteering alone could fill hearings and courtrooms for months and years. The criminal acts of this regime will take a decade or more to sort out and sorted out it shall be if we build on what occured on Tuesday.

Pelosi said yesterday a priority is to "drain the swamp"...and the first step is to clean out the lobbyist and earmarking and do a thorough investigation and review of ALL government spending over the last 6 years. They need to stop the hemoraging of our tax money to the profiteers and force this regime into a fiscal straight jacket. This is what proper oversight does, and I hope this is what Speaker Pelosi has in mind.

Yes, the pressure has to be kept up, but it also has to be crafted to consolidate our gains and go for more in '08. Running a clean shop would be a breath of fresh air to millions. A House with some integrity restored would go a long way to bringing that accountablity you describe.

14. horror movie
Appropriate choice of words: stake.

Remember every horror movie made - the villian appears dead, battered, crushed beyond all means. Then you turn your back for a second and it rises to attack! We cannot make the same mistake. The hard part has just begun. We need to make the next two years SAFE for democracy. Expose the corruption with investigations, get rid of the machines, cut the ties between the corporate and gov.

I'm proud to be a part of the uprising! I will never stop fighting for an even better America than the one we grew up in and I will never settle for a worse America than we were handed, when we grew up.

We owe it to the generations to come, TO CARE! DUers, I couldn't be prouder of you...

It feels so good to have a tiny bit of pride back, after so long!

The only good thing I can think of, about Bush, is the friends I've found on the WWW since 2000!

28. We have earned a shot at the title again!
I'm tired of these draft dodging, AWOL, POS, MFers calling me unpatriotic and a god damned terrorist. When I got my draft notice I went on and did my time, like a man. I've paid my taxes every year. I've voted every time I could. I've played by the rules...even though I thought they SUCKED sometimes!

Let the lying GOPers come and call me the names to my face, that they run all over the country on our airplanes, calling me behind my back, to impress their hand picked ass kissing crowds of fools! Why should we respect mealy mouthed, lying, rats, who go around behind our backs, calling us terrorists, because we don't agree with their criminal shit?

"Bush and Dick...Go Fuck Yourselves"...was the message the voters sent!

I told my wife there is going to be six years of corruption revealed, new shit is going to surface every week if not every day. The people who supported the repukes, the ones who still have their yardsigns out, they were a part of their base, they've lost them and more and more will slink away in disgust when all the shit floats to the surface.
They've dug the grave deep, it's up to us to see that they stay in it.

They about all belong to the Council on Foreign Relations and The Trilateral Commission.

They all are for Poppy Bush's "New World Order" and Globalization/IMF/World Bank.(giving our jobs to China and India)

Groups like this tend to get their moment in American history for five or ten years. They either achieve their goals or faily miserably and slink away into the ether. I think the PNAC is in "slinking" mode right now. I'm not terribly worried about them at the moment.
